Stemlash – Martti Kuoppa
Since this big wooden structure “Aika-Lava” was installed at Suomi-Areena in Pori, Finland in 2017, I wanted to shoot a photo in it. I found out that it was my two good friends who had designed it. I contacted them and tried to get a date to shoot, but it never happened. We talked about it every now and then but then one day I got a call that it will be installed at Flow Festival 2018. I went to see the spot and the Aikalava was perfectly installed in the middle of an empty Suvilahti area bathing in sunlight the whole day creating amazing light and shadow. DM’d Martti and he was instantly down for it.
Martti is a local Finnish BMX flatland legend, 3-time X-Games gold medalist, 2-time world champion and the winner of Flatark 2015 of Kobe, Japan. He pulled this "Stemlash", just flawlessly.
The photo was exhibited at the Habitare 2022 fair at Helsinki, Finland.

This is my personal favourite – the perfect paper for my prints, this one is environmentally friendly, thick & heavy with a bit of structure, it's nice and matt and it looks like a 3D photo when the colors just pop out of the paper – it brings out every detail of the image! It feels unreal when you see it. I just love it.

The aluminium body makes these framed prints lightweight and more durable than traditional wooden frames. The genuine wood veneer on the surface of the frame makes the frame look and feel like a traditional wood frame. There will be an additional white border around the image, actual frame sizes are:
