Jellyfish Lake at Palau
I shot these beautiful jellyfish while I was snorkeling at the Jellyfish Lake at Palau, we did the snorkeling as an extra stop while we were scubadiving around Palau on a liveaboard. An amazing lake to be experienced.
“Jellyfish Lake is a marine lake located on Eil Malk island in Palau. Eil Malk is part of the Rock Islands, a group of small, rocky, mostly uninhabited islands in Palau's Southern Lagoon, between Koror and Peleliu.
Jellyfish Lake is connected to the ocean through fissures and tunnels in the limestone of an ancient Miocene reef. However the lake is sufficiently isolated and the conditions are different enough that the diversity of species in the lake is greatly reduced from the nearby lagoon. The golden jellyfish, Mastigias cf. papua etpisoni, and possibly other species in the lake have evolved to be substantially different from their close relatives living in the nearby lagoons.” -wikipedia
The photo was exhibited at the Habitare 2022 fair at Helsinki, Finland.

FINE ART PRINTS DETAILS
“Standard” Fineart photo paper:
Hahnemühle Matt Fibre 200 – 200 gsm, 100 % α-cellulose, natural white, Acid free.
”The smooth, very light textured paper has a pleasant warm tone whiteness.”
“Premium” Fineart photo paper – Keke’s personal recommendation:
Hahnemühle Hemp – 290 gsm, 60% hemp fibre, 40% cotton, white.
”The FineArt inkjet paper’s base impresses with its bright white natural tone, and thanks to the bright white colour of the hemp fibres, no optical brighteners are required. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel.”
This is my personal favourite – the perfect paper for my prints, this one is environmentally friendly, thick & heavy with a bit of structure, it's nice and matt and it looks like a 3D photo when the colors just pop out of the paper – it brings out every detail of the image! It feels unreal when you see it. I just love it.
